Kinnaram
Unni (Nedumudi Venu) and Sethu (Sukumaran) are two bachelor friends staying together in Chennai. Though irritating at sometimes, with his music talents, the house owner Varma (Jagathi Sreekumar), a music director is always ready to financially support them at times. The arrival of Radha (Poornima Jayaram) creates a friction in the friendship between Unni and Sethu.
Is This Just a Story?
This short improvised fiction film is affectionately called Yugantar’s ‘hit’ film. In the midst of the very active autonomous women’s movement in India, Yugantar collaborated with the research and feminist activist collective Stree Shakhti Sanghatana, provoked by an urgency to broaden discourses and political practice on domestic violence. Through an intense period of a consciousness raising style sharing of their own varied and multi-layered experiences of domestic violence, members of both collectives created a script that focuses on isolation and depression while also developing a complex female character in the process of articulating her situation and finding support in female friendship.
Paritchaikku Neramaachu
Narashimaachari, a respected Brahmin government clerk, is determined to help his good-hearted but unemployed son, Varadhukutty, secure a stable job. When a desperate act to obtain leaked exam papers ends in disgrace, Narashimaachari vows to restore his honor and prepare his son honestly. An idealistic officer eventually succumbs to bureaucratic apathy - famine relief arrives, but too late. Simultaneously shot in Hindi as Sookha; that version was released in 1983.

There is the usual pranks that the boys of the age do, although the movie doesn't just revolve around these.The second half of the movie takes us to scenic locales of Munnar. The second half also introduces the major female character, Molu. The movie centres around the problems faced by them in a hotel in Munnar.
